Does PicoSure Work for Tattoo Removal?
PicoSure is one of the best tattoo removal lasers available today! The 755 nm wavelength is able to target black, blue, and green tattoo inks, while the optional 532 nm wavelength offers effective treatment of “sunset colors”—red, yellow and orange—which are typically hard to correct.
Laser tattoo removal with PicoSure also causes less damage to the skin overall, meaning you won’t have to worry about scarring. In some cases, patients with existing scarring may see an improvement in their appearance and texture.

What Should I Expect During My PicoSure Treatment?
PicoSure laser treatments are quick and effective for treating hyperpigmentation, melasma, and other forms of discoloration as well as helping with acne scarring and providing effective laser tattoo removal.
During your initial consultation, your provider will determine the best treatment regimen for you. They will walk you through the entire process, including how many treatments they recommend, post-treatment care, and what you can expect afterward. Typically, optimal results can be achieved in just 3-4 sessions.
For most people, PicoSure laser treatments are relatively painless, though there may be some minor discomfort. It can be performed without any numbing agents or local anesthesia. Sessions can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. Afterward, you are free to return to your usual activities and go about life as normal.
How Long is the Downtime?
There is no downtime with PicoSure laser treatments. Patients may experience some mild discomfort that typically resolves within a few hours, but in some cases, may linger up to 24 hours. Since each patient is unique, we highly recommend consulting with our providers about any concerns you may have before or after treatment.
