Cathleen Exconde-Mercado, NP is a board-certified nurse practitioner with specialized training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from Charles R. Drew University in Los Angeles and completed a one-year dermatology fellowship at the California Skin Institute, where she gained advanced clinical experience in treating a wide range of skin conditions.
Cathleen began her medical career in the Philippines, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East in Manila and practiced as a licensed physician. Her international medical background enhances her ability to provide thoughtful, comprehensive dermatologic care. Her clinical interests include skin cancer screenings and excisions, biopsies, skin tag removal, melasma treatment, microneedling, and Botox®.
Fluent in Tagalog, Cathleen is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care and is passionate about helping patients achieve both healthy and beautiful skin. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the California Association of Nurse Practitioners.
